I am guessing by soil test you mean the etude de sol. That price is about right....they have to come round to test the soil in differente places then figure out what system you can have, depending on the size of your garding and if there is any sloping etc. They then do all the drawings and calculating and everything for you. They make a whole map with all the info for you, this is so you can do the installation yourself if you like or for your workmen to follow the instructions (placement, lengts and depthts of pipes etc) its all there in the book you will get from Spanc. then when installation is done they will come around to inspect it, this will cost you another 100 euros or something.

I've just been quoted 450 euros from spanc to do a soil test? This seems ridiculously expensive. Does anybody know where I can get s soil test done cheaper please?

Thanks

I think they were from Baud - not too expensive about €160 for a 3000 litre fosse tous eaux.
