i looked online and found a firm that offered a great choice, good prices, free delivery over €100 and delivery to anywhere in France. The posts that I had seen in local Bricos etc didn't come close.

As Fitter says,the saw mill at camors out on the road for pluvigner as you leave the village sells posts of oak and chestnut and are not badly priced.

I don't know where you live so I can't say if there is on near you but we use BigMat, they will cut your wood to the length you want, have lots of different fence post wood to chose from and very reasonably priced.
