Look up Maisons du Monde, Brest. There's a few furniture shops literally within walking distance. And some of the Maisons du Monde stuff is nice. In the centre of Brest there's a fantastic  Roche Bobois shop in Rue Jean Jaures. Solid, good quality but the prices reflect this. If you want iconic pieces, and have won the lottery, Arte Diem, Place Allende in Morlaix has the type of furniture you see in Sunday supplements. There's a few "interior" shops in Rue Traverse, Morlaix that sell nice settees, chairs and accessories as well.  Our biggest disappointment was trying to find solid wood French pieces once  furniture shop in Cleder shut down. Anyone know whether it simply moved location?

Try a Monsieur Meuble if there is one in any of those places, I would think there would be one and it sells quality furniture.
