Something to bear in mind is that if you have paid a deposit to to your gas supplier for the tank, you won't receive it back until the purchaser orders some gas from them.  Friends of mine were left a thousand euros out of pocket because their buyer didn't use the central heating and so never ordered any gas.

Not really practical to use it up or sell it on to anyone other than your buyer. I would contact the buyer and offer the gas as a cash sale, separate from the house sale contract. You probably won't get the best deal, but better than just leaving it for nothing at all.

IF someone offers your asking price grab it quickly and say that the gas is included in the sale, giving them extra value.

However...........

If it is not stated on your paper work you wish to charge for the gas that is left when you leave, you can't  ask for any now.

Only thing you can do is quickly empty the tank and sell it this week if you really want the money back.
