Depends a lot on what species the tres are. Oak, Beech or anything exatic may well interest a local scierie. Why not ask them?

You could buy / manufacture a simple chainsaw mill to cut the planks yourself, there are various sizes available depending on your chainsaw - probably far cheaper than hiring in one of the large rail mills. These should be availble in France but not that sure - or mail order from UK Alskanmill.co.uk

Commercial timber mills don't normally buy in trunks from gardens etc, due to possible foreign objects nails / screws etc,. that maybe buried deep in the timber.

Normally you take them to the  wood yard or you can get a mobile saw mill chap to plank them up, it will probably cost you as much to get them picked up as you get for them.
