You fill out a form, usually at the supermarket enquiry desk .

Hi All,

Slight side question, but how do you actually register for these cards?  Do I have to go the service desk in store, and if so, what do I ask for?

As a Leclerc loyalty card holder, I always browse the brochure which arrives at the beginning of each week.  That way I can decide which items to purchase which will add cash to my card (usually from 20% to 50%), as well as items which have immediate reductions at the till point. (I just make sure that I read the tickets correctly and purchase the relevant amount.)

I can't remember the last time I paid full price for cleaning materials, toiletries, ice cream etc. etc.  I frequently leave the store having actually paid nothing   ...   just having the amount deducted from my card.

French loyalty cards do not work in the same way as UK ones.It is WHAT you buy not how much you buy-with the exception of Géant/Casino who give you points per visit. So for the others you will need to buy at least 5 own brand items and also many products will be advertised as something like "Avantage Carte" or "Ticket LeClerc" and if you buy these products you get so much added to your card Look in the most recent flyers for the stores to see examples..You usually can cash the points in at anytime(except at Géant Casino when you need a minimum of 400)In LeClerc you need to enter your PIN which you should have been given when you got your card it is generally the day and month of your birthday.

Thank you very much for the replies. The reason for asking is that I went to Leclerc yesterday and my accumulated points showed 63c and I have been buying loads over summer and each time used my card to collect point. So something is not right and I need to ask at service desk when Zi am there next time.

You can use your points at SuperU any time.  We use ours when the wine fair is on.
