I seem to remember from earlier postings on this subject that someone found that although Orange will suspend the phone line, they need a period of notice for each suspension and activation. Again, I heard that this only applies to the 'phone line, not the internet agreement.

I recently subscribed to SFR for a landline (via a modem) and internet connnection. I was assured that I could suspend the account when I choose to.

I have yet to test this assurance!

I was given to understand that you can suspend the phone line but not the internet with Orange. And you have to subscribe to the phoneline to get their internet. if you hear differently I'd love the details. We would like internet for our second home but aren't interested in a phone line. And we'd like to pay for the internet only when the house is occupied. Having your cake and eating it!!

You can request the line to be suspended or reinstated via the Internet (phone) and in writing for the Internet. There is a small charge for the phone suspension.
