Can't answer for the OP, but I thought Orange would be the best bet (formerly France Telecom).  However, the coverage is rubbish because of where we live.

Sometimes you're just between a rock and a hard place!

Apologies if I"m stating the obvious, but if SFR's coverage is poor, why use them? Why not use a different operator?

I'm well impressed that avoican has had an SFR account since February 1987!

Oops.  Just saw that you have an iphone.  No problems with 3G then!

Agree with RedRockParis.

I have a Femtocell from Orange and I can now use my mobile without driving 2 km to get a signal:)

Two small points:

I don't know about SFR, but the system I have plugs into the livebox.  This means that if you lose your internet connection you also lose the boosted mobile signal.

Also, I was told that you need a minimum 3G mobile.

Regards.

Hi there,

Ask SFR for their free 'Femto' box, which plugins into your SFR box and boosts your mobile signal. 5 bars guaranteed where there would otherwise be no signal. You can add up to 10 SFR users to a single Femto box.

For other network users, Orange offer a similar box.

Both work perfectly; I have both Orange and SFR boxes and have never had a problem with either or a full signal.

I have had an SFR account since the day they started up, they have allways had coverage problems . I live in the countryside and have absolute minimal cover nearly all the time , and don't even think about 4G ... If I want to use my phone I have to go outside my house ..
