Had to go to a ATM to top up the 3 sim, the online top up wouldnt work beause I dont have a street name!

Added a £15 add on incl all you can eat data (hmm) calls and text. See how that works out. Am in Spain as of Mon so hopefully I will have the net there as well.

http://www.three.co.uk/Discover/Phones/Feel_At_Home explains it.

I use a Three SIM in a MiFi unit for data when I'm away from home, it's cheaper than topping up my French contract phone when I go over the monthly data allowance.

Cheers

I do have a 3 sim (not in use) but I am confused by various info I got regarding roaming.

I'll give it a go

The easiest way is to get a UK Three PAYG SIM and top it up in the UK, there are no roaming charges with Three in France or most of Europe.
