If the out building is on the same mains supply this will work fine.

If the house has electricity from the house supply ie does not have its own meter you can use the internet over mains system.

We have several devolo units around the main house, in a barn used as a photographic studio and in a separate building used as an office. We now have wi fi access everywhere we need it.

You can get the units from fnac or amazon.fr amongst others. Very very easy to install.

Google devolo and their site will give you all the options so you can decide what suits your needs. Having wi fi adds to the unit cost the cheaper ones are for plugging in adsl cables ok for desktop pc but not for phones tablets etc.

Hope this helps.

We have iBoost for our motorhome, it's better than a wifi extender in that it creates your own secure hot spot. Works up to 500 mtrs from the wifi source providing there is line of sight and allows for more than one device to log on. Also, more importantly, you get the same speed as the device you are piggy backing from.  Google "motorhome wifi" and see if it suits your purpose.

If you carry out an AngloInfo search on extending wifi you will find pages of information.

You will not be the first to have this challenge!
