Thank you for all of your replies.  At least we now know we can take the dogs to a beach somewhere which will be great.

There s a lovely beach at cote d'emeraud, put berneuf in your sat nav and then when there follow the signs for the plage. Long sandy beach, but no refreshment area, dogs are welcome.

There is a realy long beach between the barre d etel and gavres in the morbihan where lots of people put in a lot of kms with their dogs. There are good car parks at either end or down in maguero beach which is the center part. couple of good bars in plouhinec for a drink afterwards too.

There is however a military firing range in the dunes to the north side of maguero which closes that part of the beach from 0800 to 1700hrs monday to thursday and from 0800 to 1400hrs on fridays.

There is also night shooting on tuesdays and thursdays from 1700 to 2200hrs.

Weekends are fine,or if you want to go during firing times then you can go upto the barre d etel or down towards gavres.

I hope that they enjoy their stay.

Some of the beaches in Cotes D'Armor going up the coast from St Brieuc do not allow dogs even in the winter, Binic, and St Quay Portrieux to name a couple. However, Les Rosaires at Plerin (near St Brieuc) is a fabulous beach for walking dogs, as long as the tide is out. It is a very long beach so great for energetic dogs, but there is no beach if the tide is in. Hillion, also in the Bay of St Brieuc, is a nature reserve and I don't think they allow dogs at any time of the year.

We walked our dog yesterday up on the Sillon de Talbert. Dogs are only allowed there if on a lead as it is also a reserve and all the winter migrant birds are there at present, but it was a lovely walk in the wind and rain!

Hi, Normally you will find that the restrictions on dogs on beaches are only during the summer monthe. At this time of year you should find that you can visit most beaches with dogs. Happy walking, we love walking with our dog out of season, on the beaches, but no specific ones, just any we stumble across.
