The specific "layer's pellets" will have additives like vitamins & ground shells, etc. to ad calcium to the diet.

I buy 10kg sacks of Layers (pondeuse) pellets and Blé (wheat) from Point Vert / Magasin Vert ..... not expensive and the chooks are doing very well on it. They do bigger sacks too.

I must admit to not bothering with layers pellets!

I just buy a large sack each of wheat & crushed maise from Agrial/ pont vert type outlets, - the chooks seem happy with that plus the greens!

Any French co-op like Triskalia or Point Vert / Gamme vert sells good quality layers  pellets as good as if not better than English ones , just a matter of price I suppose !

I use Croston corn Mill in England for wild bird seed , they only charge £5 delivery for 30kg loads and they do sell Layers pellets, so you may wish to compare their prices before buying locally and they deliver very quickly. Check out their website.
