Thanks very much for putting me out of my misery.  I'll try to find them on video or DVD.  I wasn't aware that it was a trilogy. Yes, the matress scene is great but my own personal favourites are on the train when they're trying to escape the Germans and one of the men accidentally throws the coal shovel into the firebox whilse stoking the boiler and also continually being blown up on bridges whilst trying to escape.  Brilliant

Hello Gerard,

That is a Classic of French television (especially during the Summer) - although I must admit I'm not sure which of the 3 installments you actually saw.

Anyway, all 3 are well worth looking at - they're called:

- La 7ème Compagnie (with Jean Lefèvre, Pierre Mondy et al)

- On a retrouvé la 7ème Compagnie

- La 7ème Compagnie au Clair de Lune

There might be more, someone correct me please if I'm wrong :)

I just love the scene with the matresses :0)

Hope this helps - best
