I can also say adaptor plugs will be fine. We changed to French plugs on lamps, radios etc and we've been using adaptors for the video/TV, PC/scanner/printer, in a 4-way block adaptor,as Priory does, no probs.

All our UK bought power toys are fine like this too, angle-grinder, sewing machine and the like.

Just be sensible and hold things away from yourself when you try them for the first time!! Just kidding. All the best.

Yes, he will be able to play with everything.

As a tip, I use a 4 way UK style block (one plug and 4 sockets - if you follow), then change JUST the plug on that to the french type. That way, we can avoid chopping all the UK plugs off everything.

We also did this for the TV/VCR/Digibox/DVD, and one of our 50m extension reels has a french plug on, but 2 UK sockets for the mower and strimmer.
