Hi Chris

My husband and l live and work 11 months of the year in Saudi Arabia therefore only in France for a month each year so decided to find out if we could have the 'phone suspended as like yourself the fee that we would pay for those 11 months could be put to better use.

We belong to an organisation called "Oui can help" which we have found in-valueable (you have to pay to be members but well worth it) so l contacted them to see if they could help which they did they asked us to send a document with our Saudi address on it and another with our French address they suggested insurance documents so we sent a copy of our car insurance for Saudi and our house insurance document for France, had an E-mail back from "Oui can help" stating they had received  both documents and that they had sent a covering letter stating what was wanted by us.

France Telecom agreed to suspend our 'phone until "Oui can help" contact them to say we will be in France on such and such a date.

Sue

Please tell us all how it is done.  We to are only able to visit a few times a year at the moment and any reduction in the charge would be welcome.

Thanks

Chris

I have asked, it seems not.

What about a mobile, perhaps, for the minimum amount of annual use?
