Avonlady,

I dont know if you have sorted the problem but it sounds as if your gas rings may be jetted for mains gas, the bottled gas jets are a smaller diameter as the gas is a higher calorific value. You may be able to get new jets from the cooker manufacturer if they do the same model for both gas sources. Hope this helps.

Actually have both - didn't realise at the time they were different.  We will try the other type of gas and see if any better.  Thank you for your advice.avonlady

AL,

sounds like you need to regulate the burners, are you on propane or butane? this is really a job for a professional IMHO to save you carbon monoxide poisoning so try contacting a plumber here

Bob
