hi there - we now find shopping in france far too expensive - the depot vents are not what they used to be and theres a lot of rubbish. we now but everything on ebay. you get fantastic bargains and we have managed to do a whole house on a fraction of the price. we are taking it over ourselves but you can get a guy here to do brittany/normandy borders for £500 a transit load - you save that on the purchases easily

Look out for the "Depot Vent's", there are plenty about selling second hand furniture, electrical goods and bric a brac.  You can buy most things from old rustic to nearly new.  Prices and quality vary from place to place and don't be afraid to bargain. You just need to beat the Brit "antique dealers" who snap up the bargains and whip them back to dear old Blighty to make a fast buck!
