Thank you both for your prompt replies.

Our local pompiers are very interested, we will have to keep it for a  month until they reach the "cutting up cars" section of their training schedule but as we have a big driveway so that's no real hardship.

Not only has your suggestion saved us the 107euros "scrap tax" & helped the community, but also our dogs will have a comfortable day kennel to boot  - they will be the envy of the neighbourhood howl!

Many thanks,

sheila

Any motor scrapyard will take it as long as you have the carte grise - pompiers is a better idea as that helps the community.

If you are in or near Antibes I can tell you where there a couple of scrappies

Try contacting your local Pompiers. They take vehicles to use in teaching excercises then dispose of them when they are beyond further use. They were very happy to take our extremely weary Peugot 205 off our hands. We delivered it to them but who knows, they might come and pick yours up......... No charge to you but nothing money-wise coming your way either. Give it a try........regardsJai
