There are great walks around the Tourrettes sur Loup / Gourdon area. You could stay in the Auberge in Pont-du-Loup (near Le Bar-sur-Loup), go for walks along the river, up the Chemin du Paradis (a climb up to Gourdon with fantastic views), and up to the Pic de Courmettes.

Go to the tourist office in Nice - theres one at the Station and another on the Prom - Pick up some of their guide books they are free theres a series of 3 and they give all the Randos/Walks you could wish for. Its also worth checking if the Rando bus service is still operating http://www.cotedazur-tourisme.com/evenement-manifestation/reprise-du-rando-bus-news_1821.html Beuil and Valberg are beautiful - but depends on the amount of snow thats about. Otherwise Closer to Nice catch the 55 upto St Jeannet Village - theres a couple of good B&B s there and some great walks with Panoramic views up the Baous. Enjoy!

Tourtour too, in the Var. About an hour's drive from Nice, but a pleasant trip. Popular, but not too many tourists until June timeframe.Steve
