I can highly recommend Vitamin 104.8 for Soul, R&B, reggae & hip-hop and not a lot of chat, and ads on the half hour not the quarter. Occasional flashbacks included. Music to fit being alive rather than 'on the way out'.

French radio stations by law have to play a certain percentage of French music (75%??) which by definition restricts the amount of international stuff they can play. I just don't listen to them.

What infuriates me is that both of the classical music French stations I've found rarely, if ever, play an entire work from beginning to end,  but play half of the second movement of a symphony,  then have 5 minutes of boring French pontification, a commercial,  then an excerpt of something quite unrelated to what they played before.  Talk about 'dumbing down'!  It makes Classic FM in the UK look good.

Tried Cannes Radio 91.5 ?

Also have streaming audio in case you live out of range.

Bit of news with local content and a mix of French and International music.
