hiwhy are you wanting to load Outlook Express anyway???That's probably how you got the virus, it hs a little flag waving about saying"come get me, all viruses welcome"!Why not use Mozilla instead, it's not virus friendly!

http://browsers.evolt.org/ is definitely the place for browsers. Remember that if you want the Active Desktop functionality (Desktop as Web page, and the rather more useful Quick Launch toolbar just to the right of the Start button) then you FIRST need to install IE 4.0 and then upgrade that at IE 5.5 (preferably) or 5.0.

Mozilla has some neat functionailty, but I can't get away from the feeling that it was built by anoraks for anoraks.

Mozilla (the Open Source browser on which Netscape is based) is pretty good too - it has lots of useful features that IE doesn't (e.g. it lets you block those annoying popup windows, plus you can have several sites open at the same time in the same window using the "tabbed browsing" feature). It comes with an email client (Mozilla Mail) just like Netscape's.If you must use IE and Outlook Express, you can download the installer 'stub' by clicking here, or download the whole thing from here:http://browsers.evolt.org/?ie/32bit

You could try loading netscape in the meantime...The later versions 7.x aren't too bad. Lots of people prefer them to Explorer...

If you have a copy of Wanadoo or similar there is usually an installation of IE5 or 5.5 with it.
