As long as you realise that accountancy costs are not tax deductible against AE earnings... 

Unless you have particular complications (e.g. carry out multiple activities) the accountancy side of AE really couldn't be simpler. Sign up to make your declarations online at netentreprise, total up all of your paid invoices over the last quarter (the declaration form tells you the relevant dates), enter that figure in the box, and that's it, job done. When you enter your turnover figure it will instantly calculate the exact cotisations that will be debited to your account on the 1st of the next month (together with your income tax, if you have opted for versement liberatoire de l'impot). All you have to do is make sure the money is there for them to take ;) And I also print off a copy of my declaration each trimestre, for my own records.
