Many thanks for that info - Its what I thought to be the case too - I was just wondering if anyone had actually had some direct experience. Clearly a visit to the Notaire is the ultimate answer but as we are no where near there yet....

I believe you need to live in the property for at least 6 months for it to be considered your primary residence (if that helps)
