Jan, Glad to see you say "a way to a man's heart ..." and not "the way ...."
Sorry about tea though, got another invite in the meantime.

Buttermilk muffins changed to raspberry cheesecake.

Funny how people invite me for lunch or dinner, and I bring the food.

You can also make your own buttermilk by adding apple cider vinegar to the milk.  That is if you're in a pinch and don't have any of the previously mentionned products.C.

It's called Laben and it is the same as Buttermilk - slighty fermented, slightly soured milk.

You can find buttermik sold in the fresh milk sections at Carrefour. I buy Youplait's lait fermente "YORIK", which is in a green and white carton. It works for all of my baking recipies that require buttermilk.

I also wanted to know about buttermilk and came across that "lait ferment" w/ the arabic writing.  It certainly seems like buttermilk and worked out well for the recipes I needed them for.
