Uta

I have an 18 month old boy and would love him to attend either of the Jardin d'efants that you mention. Can you tell me how I go about it. I live in the Magnan area of Nice - bd Victor Hugo is not too far for me to get too. Thanks for you help.

Unfortunately, these kind of restaurants do not exist in Nice but I would thoroughly recommend Star n Bars restaurant on the port in Monaco. It is an american sports bar with good food and excellent facilities for kids. There is a supervised play room with activities for children such as face paints, slides, toys and videos. They do kids menus and have sweets and balloons at the end.Highchairs, booster seats and changing tables are all available.Stars n Bars is closed on Mondays in winter.Hope this helps!!

Hi Yjme, thank you for your message. I know this too. I only wanted to know if anybody knows a nice place where a child can stay near the parents but with some distraction in a closed place.

Hi Ingeberg ,Lucie is going in the Jardin d'Enfants Villa Isabelle, Rue Théodore de Banville, near Bd Garnier, you have to inscribe her in this place. Another Jardin d'Enfants à Nice (et c'est tout pour le public) is Bd Victor Hugo.uta

In case you didn't get a reply : Your child can go into the local halte garderie, or the crêche if you work, or private maternelle schools. All depending on whereabouts you are in Nice. Go to the mairie and ask in the services des école. Next September, he will be able to go into the petite section in the maternelle schools. (They are admitted in the September of the year they are three). Maybe other people know of exact places for you meanwhile. As for restaurants, to be honest, it really is not in the French culture to have seperate rooms for children to play in whilst parents eat. You may have noticed that children are always accepted in any restaurants and are very much part of the social event. It would be interesting though to hear if there is anywhere like you are looking for,I just don't know any myself.
