She was unaccompanied , and apparently lost her drinking water supply when the vessel turned turtle in a couple of storms . Alain Bombard drank his own filtered urine and ate a couple of seagulls when he crossed the atlantic in his rubber boat - however my point was that if you've covered 75% of the trip a mere trifle of ' water water everywhere but not a drop to drink ' is hardly relevant , as you can in fact drink sea water !

It takes a tough ( mental and physical ) person to do this crossing - I would be honoured if she crossed my bow !

And what about the people in the boat with cameras videotaping, etc.... they didn't pass her some water?

There was no back up support and she ran out of fresh water about 10 days ago !stgeorge

Wow! Bravo.Don't suppose there are many days off while doing that.Do you know, does someone follow with food and support on an excursion like that? Or did she take it all with her?C J Flynn
