If you want to watch UK content on the AppleTV in English you need to have a UK iTunes account. Normally, this means that you also have a UK credit card associated with the account with a UK address. You'll find in general that manuals are very limited. Online doc is always available in any language you like. Packaging and outer instructions tend to be local language only.Yes the Apple TV will work practically anywhere in the world - it is a wonderful device and despute being intended for your TV set, I know many people who travel with them so they can have their own entertainment in their hotel rooms or holiday accommodation, etc.
