If I was the owner, I would expect the maid to check the whole room for any dirt or damage, this would include checking the sheets were ok for another night. Any stains etc would signal a change of linen. The maid cannot do her job without pulling back the bedcovers.

I'd absolutely definately expect the bed to have been made, its a sign that the room has been cleaned generally. This doesn't mean I wouldn't have straightened the bed myself first.....guest etiquette!

I'd would not be offended why would you be. If the place offers a maid type service then you know this is going to happen surely common sense will show a B&B is like any hotel, I would expect my bed to be made in a hotel so why not in a B&B !!!

I would have only tidied the bed myself & been grateful if the bed had been remade when I got back
(and I'd not expect new sheets etc unless I was staying for 4 or 5 days)
If somone staying with you got offended its because they dont understand the difference between service & servitude
