Certainly do st.george! LOL. Oh you mean sheets. :o)

What I don't understand is why 3 Suisses and co. stock the sheets but not the bed size!! Or not very often anyway.

While we are on beds and sheets - who can tell me what the nicest duvet filling is that isn't THE most expensive. I was given a  'couette' which is absolutely delicious, no other word, light but warm and cosy, but doesn't have the ticket on it telling me what the filling is. My sons are after one. Each. Suppose I'll have to try st.george's tactic first, but would be interested to know who finds what the nicest.

Halle aux Sommeil - I bought two single sommiers (easy for moving) and one 180 x 200 mattress. Finding sheets is pretty difficult although Carrefour do have some from time to time.  I didn't have to order as they were in stock. They also had one or two 180 sommiers too. Branch in Grasse and I think one in Mandelieue.

A 180cm bed ( sommier + mattress ) usually has to be ordered , but any good specialist bed shop will do this ( there are dozens in Nice ) - look in the French yellow pages ; all linen for this size at Galeries Lafayettes ( they'll probably order you a bed into the bargain ! ) Or look on the Net - Treca, Epeda etc.

In Cannes I've seen a specialty shop with American style thick mattresses, so chances are they will have large sizes as well. Otherwise you can check out www.buycentral.fr where there are mattresses and box springs in that size to which you can attach feet--don't know about finding a headboard in that size, though. Have you thought about the difficulty and cost of obtaining sheets???
