The Bishop of Nice has only just had a change of heart on this.

We had our blessing in the church in Valbonne, with the CoE vicar from Cannes it cost about 120euros for the church.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your response.
It is actually very good freinds of mine that want to get married.
Father Ken from the Anglican Church in Nice has kindly agreed to do the blessing for them but the problem with having the blessing in his church in Nice is moving 100 people from Biot/Antibes to Nice on a Saturday afternoon in June. Plus Nice means nothing to them. They want to be married in the community they live in and contribute too.
Alistair and I had our marriage blessed in the villlage we lived in just a couple of years ago so we are all amazed at this new turn in attitude.
The only thing they can hope for now is finding a private chapel in Roquefort, Valbonne or Biot.

Have you tried the Anglican and non-conformist churches listed here? Since the CoE is England's established Anglican church, one would think they'd be willing to talk...  **************
