Try "Centre contra Indifference" charity shop, Rue Gambetta, close to the junction with Garnier,( where the mountain railway crosses the road) Nice. They take old clothes etc. Open Thursdays to Saturdays. The place is behind iron gates, looks like a private building, on the left-hand side of Gambetta,  going north (away from the sea-front).

Good Luck!

Geoff

There is one called ABI behind Nice Etoile shopping centre in Nice.

On the corner where Rue Lamartine crosses Rue Spitareli.
