Depositing change at the bank?

You can get them at the post office? OK. Yes, this is far too much for anyone to count at a cashier desk. That was why I wondered if banks here typically have change machines....

Well, it is probably about 50 euros or more of change.

They usually have a machine, but our local bank has a metal detector door and you have to leave any metal outside in a locker.

Why not just give it to the beggers?

change is money so why not?

I suggest you go to the post office and ask for empty coin rolls, This way the poor cashier won't have to count coin by coin.
