Can any mums out there help me? My family are coming to visit in July with a two year old and I have to buy nappies to save them the hassle of bringing them .They usually use Pampers but sometimes cheaper ones if they find a good alternative. Which nappies are the best alternative in France? I have seen Dotties and various shops own brands. any advice gratefully received.

On the other hand, a toddler of two could be using the pull up pants to get him/her used to the idea.............I also used a cheaper version, at that age they are perfectly good, but can't remember what they were called. From Casino stores. Also used the Huggies and Pampers too though.

I can recommend the Carrefour brand - that's all I've used for a year and a half (unless I find special offers on the others).  They have the paper-like cover, rather than plastic, and adjustable fastenings, unlike some other cheaper brands.

They are all much the same, (the cheaper versions) but Carrefour's own brand used to be very good.
