Thanks David. I have tried angloinfo Normandy and already have had a few suggestions, that are  not as expensive as many of the removal companies are quoting.

Most removal companies do part loads - i.e large truck comes over with 3 or 4 deliveries. They should quote you on cubic meters. The big companies seem to be in Europe quite a lot. Worth guessing how many cubic meters your furniture should take up (or dsescribe it to the agent) and get quotes from 3 or more companies don't forget to get insurance etc. Factor in any packaging they may have to do or do it yourself.

You may be lucky and find somebody maybe moving back to the UK and you can go halves on a van. - try the Angloinfo Normandy forum as they are closer to the area.

Sorry, i forgot to add that. I am in Chester and am looking for things to be taken to Fontainebleau, 45 mins south of Paris. I know this isnt FRench Riviera but I thought it would be worth asking if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks

Laura
