Hi Jeanette, the amount of Tax d'Habitation due is not a fixed amount per m2. It depends on the current rateable value (valeur locative) of each individual property [which in turn will depend on its size, for sure], to which local tax rates are then applied after deduction of personal allowance(s) [these are based on your personal tax situation], plus a small admin charge.

For Mandelieu/A.M., the current tax rates are, respectively: 14.98% (taux communal) and 6.3% (taux départemental).

So, by way of example, if your apartment's rateable value is €4000 and your personal allowances reduce this by 15% to €3400, the Taxe d'Habitation could come to something in the region of €750 (=€509+€214+€27).

See info about personal allowances which reduce the tax, here.See info about current local rates of taxation [Mandelieu, in this case], here.

Hope this helps.
