Help with satellite dish for Sky TV

Its a bit of a conumdrum.

 

Yes the dish is being pointed in the correct direction. I get a good signal strength in 3 different areas. One of which is 28 degrees. Another is at 26 degrees (both east of south). The 26 degree signal strength is 100% the 28 degree strength is 90%.

 

I just can't get a lock. I have even tried changing the default transponder to the bigger footprint. Still no lock. Its very odd.

28.2 degree due east!

It could be that its the wrong sat he's pointing at. 28.2 deg west of due south is Sky though. The easiest way is the box around a friends who also has sky digi and check the box is ok. Also remember that the meter on the digi box is a bit slow.
