We are planning 3 days in Corsica and would like to know: where to stay, what to do and where to eat!!! Any advice would be great - Thanks.

It depends what you're after. Bastia is an "avoid" but Calvi could be OK if you don't mind holidaying with the hordes. The most scenic area is Porto with a beautiful sheltered bay, beach and incredible hiking (if you are fit). Nearby Cargese has a beautiful beach and a different flavour altogether from Porto. Getting to Porto is not easy but the drive is incredible.

If you are more into a more sedate, kick-back-at-the-hotel holiday, then try the Goélande in Porto Vecchio.

If you like wine, then try the area north of Ile Rousse at the neck of the northern peninsula. I forget the name of the place -- directly west across the mountains from Bastia. Some nice B&B's in the countryside and quiet by and large.

Ajaccio, Ile Rousse, Calvi and Bastia are the "avoids" from my perspective (don't like crowds).

Hi Kylie,

Just back from 3 days ourselves (with our motos). Stayed in Bastia, cannot recommend the hotel we stayed at (very noisy), but saw something which might be ok:  Vecchia Posta. We toured only the northern part of the island, wonderfully unspoilt nature, not tourististy, not even crowded! Restaurants in old harbour in Bastia are mostly fine. Prices similar to PACA. We'll definitely return, next time to Ajaccio as a base.
