Thanks... I actually did request a certificate of conformity a few years ago, so that should be fine.

Any idea what to do after that??

Hey,

You have to go through the whole process of getting a certificate of conformity from the original manufacturer, but it may be too old so you might need to get a certificate from DREAL saying that the vehicle is technically compliant. Best idea is to contact the manufacturer. If an equivalent model exists here it shouldn't be too much trouble.

That's the most important thing, the rest of info you can find here http://www.google.co.uk/search?biw=1219&bih=635&sclient=psy-ab&q=register+british+car+in+france&btnG=&oq=&gs_l=&pbx=1 it's the same process.

If you're not especially attached to it I'd say going over the border and selling it and buying an equivalent here would be a good idea.
