I've used Les Minutes and Primus until I discovered Telerabais.  They are not as convenient as the others,  but when 45 minutes to Cape Town costs 0.85 Euros,  I don't mind dialling a few extra digits.  I do use the others for my UK calls and when I know the call is going to be short.

Another thing about Telerabais is that to some countries their rates to cellphones are the same as to landlines - most operators surcharge.

Also note that they are not always the cheapest, in fact to traditionally cheap destinations such as US and Australia,  they are more expensive than some other operators.

As pointed out on AI before, www.telerabais.com are excellent. Been using them now for a few weeks and at 1.8 cent a minute they're magic.
