If you are in a remote area, there are rules for forest clearing, the Mairie will give you the info, with distances btwn canopy etc. every year, all ground scrub should be cut & removed within 50M radius of your property. For your clients..... They will be aware of fire, due to smoke, the smell, planes, pompiers, sirens.etc They should be aware of where the fire is, & which way the wind is blowing, & evaluate if the fire is moving in their directionif there is any immediate risk the Pompiers will tell them to leave & go to the village, or to Ste Maxime to designated salle communale etc. They should not refuse, but take their paperwork if possible !It would be ideal if, before they leave, they shut all windows & shutters, if there are any gas bottles they can put them in the poolIf there is a sprinking system for garden they can possibly set it off. or water with the hose pipe the immediate area around the house.
