You really need a lawyer or a qualified financial advisor to give you accurate and dependable advice.  So much depends on personal situation.

Generally though, Monaco is only concerned with the inheritance laws of assets located WITHIN the principality.  Therefore, should you die, your French property will be subject to the French laws of succession.  To find out just exactly what that means for a married, non-resident without children, I'd advise that you take professional advice in the company of your spouse.
