Thank you for your message.  My kids will go to the local schools so hopefully that will help.

Anybody else out there, living there now, that can let me know what it is like?

i lived on the Chemin du Puits, Notre Dame. I drove every day to Mougins School which took a long time, My daughter was educated most of her life in the French system but later circumstances forced her into the UK SYSTEM.

I don't understand the attraction. There is no village centre To speak of.  All traffic, and there is a lot, goes right on through it. If you are putting your children into local schools it will help your integration , if you are pure ex pat you might find a clique, If not there aint much to do. I'm sorry but it is like so many "fringe" villages like le Rouret where there is a diversity of nationalities but no cohesion.
