Update. Rumour has it Services are planned to transfer to 2F from November 25th. Also, the beam peak on Birmingham is 60dBW (vs 54dBW for 1N) which will allow the choice and use of higher constellations of the DVB-S2 standard, in short this means more data capacity for HDTV services, it also means a higher C/N is required. So as SDTV-DVB-S gives way to HDTV-DVB-S2 it becomes a greater challenge for fringe reception.

But, don't panic, yet. .... ---- I.

Apparrently there is also a Pan European beam, which will give similar if not better TV reception here in the Cote D'Azur, so no panic. Spain might not be so great...

looks like a 100cm dish or bigger and that might not even work.

it has been coming for a long time though, advertisers want there money spent wisely and people viewing it illegally in other than the destined country is not right.

this will make all the services like the slingshot, bbc and any other paying service thru your internet service with a upgrade to a smart tv also required the norm in the very soon future, ie. jan/2013.

what are all the brits gonna do in janury when they have to watch french tv. cannot wait to watch the forum posts.

a quick google search for the sat will show you that in spain there is already panic setting in.
