Full frame would be nice but a little excessive for my needs! I'm thinking I'll just start off with a basic 17-70 mm lens, and then add to the kit bit by bit.
Mainly I do portraits and photos of people in the streets, etc. I do a lot of Photoshop stuff too, with collages and so forth. I'm also really interested in the video function as I've got several ideas for short films and I love the cinematic effect you get when filming with an SLR as opposed to a video camera. In fact, I have read that the autofocus in video mode is better on the Nikon.

5D full frame...always better:)
Thats an eternal question. Sometimes there is a minor difference, but mostly they are pretty much on the same level.
For me it was a question of habit and of preferences, i guess. As im a Canon person it was out of question. Though i had some doubts at some point, but eventually it all depends on your needs.
