Lovely suggestions, thanks.  I'm going to be busy this weekend I think.  :-)

Local honey! The village of Gourdon has a good selection of glassware, honey, olive oil, olive wood, natural soaps, lavender, etc, etc...

I also forgot, depending on your budget, the lovely Vin de Bellet, rare but expensive...

AOC olive oil, olives, assortment of tapenade - anchoïade - rouille to spread on toasts for aperitives, pâtes de fruits, pottery from the area, glass from Biot (their rejects are very affordable and they don't look like rejects...), dolls wearing the local costume from Nice, T-shirts with the name of the town/village you come from, typical table clothes/tablemats with olives, or anything from the area on it, anything carved in live tree wood, etc, etc...  All depends on your budget!  Oh, I was going to forget the little bags with lavender in to perfume the wardrobes, natural soaps with all sort of perfumes...

Hope this helps,

N.

Olive products.

Other than that, not much that I can think of that you can put in a box.

The mill in Opio is in full swing at this time of year.
