Hi there,

Yes Ecover is available in supermarkets though most health food/bio shops have a wider range. La Vie Claire for example stocks at least a couple of different brands of all cleaning products. Also in Nice - Dietetique Malaussena (Av Malaussena, just under the railway bridge from Jean Medecin) stocks a wide range.

Best wishes

Just want to say that I use the Noix de Lavage too and they're great. Perfect for sensitive skin as well as you don't need any fabric softener!

Hi - we recently found some 'Noix de lavage Indienne' which are a type of indian nut containing natural soap. I was a bit sceptical but you know what - they really do work. We found them in Auchan in Grasse but a friend told me that she also gets them in Casino, Antibes.

One annoying thing is though, that if you do not make sure that the little pouch is closed you may find bits of the nuts all over your clothes - but honestly they are great.

As for makeup - hm not sure - I use Bobby Brown which is apparently not tested on animals but you cant get it here as far as I know.

Hi there,

Aveda doesn't test, nor does Weleda. Clarins is also not carrying out tests on any finished products. Lush (recently opened in Nice) is completely free of animal testing.

Various websites eg PETA and VIVA maintain current lists. There are also lots of mailorder companies depending on what sort of cosmetics/beauty products you're looking for.

Best wishes

Hi

The bio shop, Satoriz, Chemin St. Bernard (on the way to Vallauris from the Antibes autoroute exit) have quite a good selection.

However, when I was there last week I asked about hair mousse, and they don't stock it (they have shampoos, conditioners, hair spray etc) but not mousse, so if you find any, please let me know.

Regards

Sue

Not sure, but I think "Originals" is clean of that...(but maybe should investigate further)
