You might want to check this out - gives some more information about the satellite switch for BBC broadcasts and how it affects you in the S.France

Yes, BBC has moved to Astra 2D. Look at the thread on it under Media and what can be done. You might need a bigger dish, may need to position your existing dish or your digibox might not be powerful enough to decode the signal.

Score yourself an 80cm dish (minimum),then replace your other smaller dish with the newly acquired.You should then find your problem solved.

I've an 80cm and have signal strength at around 65-70% and the quality bar is bobbing up and down between 85-95%. Get's me all the BBC,ITV 1 & 2 and others on the Astra 2D footprint no problem.Reception can be a bit dodgy when it rains but this is to be expected.Good luck.
