Hi ! interested by answers too..All I know is that Credit Agricole have a special saving account for mortgage called the 'Compte Epargne Logement' with an interest rate of 2% i think. you will find some information on this saving account here :http://www.pratique.fr/argent/emprunt/daf1701.htm (in french)

If you're talking about safe-as-houses banking investments, then ING Direct has a 5% interest deal (max 15000 Euro per person), which is one of the best on the market today. There's also e.g. Codevi, but this is lower interest rates and also even lower limit (4500 Euro I believe); you can have both e.g. ING Direct and Codevi. For the remainder of your cash there's the straight  Livret at your bank, no limit but only 2% currently.


And then there's the stock exchange, but no guarantees.........
