We did go to the market yesterday. It's only a small market - I was expecting it to take longer than 15 mins to look at all the stalls and we didn't make any purchases, however we had an excellent lunch at Prejoly!

Thanks for the info Mike. Is it just a Provencal market or do they sell other things (eg clothes). Thanks for the resto tip.

The Marché Provençal is every Sunday, and it runs all day. The standard (food and so forth) market is on Friday, in the morning.

To get there from the coast, take the Route Napoléon (RN85) from Grasse for 12 Km or so until you get to St-Vallier de Thiey (signposted in Grasse), and then stop. There are a couple of free (signposted) carparks. If you're coming from the Var you may prefer to go the pretty route via Cabris, rather than taking the RN85.

The Préjoly is a jolly fine place for lunch, IMHO...
