This is the message we got at work:

quote:Suite à un préavis de grève la circulation des TER sera perturbée du
MERCREDI 02 AVRIL 18H00 AU VENDREDI 04 AVRIL 10H00

Which roughly translated means that due to the strike, the TER trains will be affected from Wed 2 April 6pm to Friday 4 April 10am. But Grande Ligne trains are affected as well, as I found out this morning. As already mentioned by MJ, check with the railway station (if there's anyone working there).

If it's anything like the strike a couple of weeks ago, they only had 5 trains for the whole day but decided at the very last minute to cancel the last one (from Monaco to Ventimiglia anyway).  My friends ended up spending close to 70 euros for a cab to catch their overnight train to Rome.

I suggest you check w/ the train station and not rely on the last train of the day and make contingency plans.

Good luck!

From what i've heard there on strike from 20h Wednesday until 0800 Friday, there are some trains running but as for which one's,i'm unsure. One would assume they'd at least have a skeleton schedule running.         Good luck!!
